TabTrade Overview - What to Know Before You Sign Up

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade went live in March 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. It is better than a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice.

The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.

Platforms

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people prefer it once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is reportedly on the roadmap. That will be a good addition once it is live.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you move real size.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform run a much wider range.

Does it matter? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that infrastructure with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Few brokers in this bracket offer execution like this.

Regulation

This is the detail that matters. The broker is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.

What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade runs bonus funds of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You fund your account, the broker credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
